The marathon:
The Carinthia Cycle Marathon is not a cycle race but a cycle tourism event.event, which takes place withoutrace character in normal road traffic according to STVO 1960! A time control only takes place on the three climbs (Ebene Reichenau - Schiestelscharte, Grundalm - Eisentalhöhe and Radenthein - Bad Kleinkirchheim)!
Responsibility:
Each participant is responsible for himself/herself and confirms with his/her registration and at the start number collection on the marathon weekend by means of a personal signature that he/she has inspected the routes and is therefore aware of the dangers on them! He is aware that there are repeated road damages (cracks in the asphalt, potholes etc.) and uneven roads on both routes from the start to the finish! He agrees to adapt his speed to the road and weather conditions!
All participants take part in the Carinthia Cycle Marathon at their own risk! The organizer and the road authorities do not assume any guarantee for a suitable condition of the road and are not liable for any damage or accidents that may occur to participants in the cycling marathon due to the condition of the route and the traffic on it! All participants must take out their own insurance with a licensed insurance company for any liability claims that may arise! The organizer, the federal government and the state are to be indemnified and held harmless without exception!
Road traffic regulations and route information:
The road is not closed along the entire route and all participants must comply with the provisions of the Road Traffic Act 1960 without exception! In particular, other traffic must not be endangered and obstructed as little as possible and only the right-hand lane may be used without exception! In addition, the authorities draw particular attention to the ban on cutting corners, the right-hand driving regulations, the priority rules, traffic light regulations and behavior at traffic circles! All participants must allow pedestrians to cross the road unhindered at all crosswalks along the two routes in accordance with STVO 1960.
The police and road supervisors are not only responsible for the safe running of the event, but above all for compliance with the STVO 1960 by the participants and accompanying vehicles!
Before the day of the event, every participant must inform themselves about the course of the route, the road conditions, danger spots etc. and inspect the route! All information on our website, announcements etc. are only additional assistance for the participants! Along both routes there are repeatedbumps and cracks in the asphalt surface! Every participant must adapt their speed to the road conditions! Particular caution is required on the numerous descents!
Doping:
Athletes who have been convicted of doping in any sport in the past are not welcome at the ARBÖ Cycling Marathon Bad Kleinkirchheim and are not allowed to start!
Registration and admission:
Road bikes, MTBs and e-bikes (own classification class) are permitted! Bicycles with triathlon handlebars or other handlebar attachments are not permitted by the organizer and the responsible authorities! Helmets are compulsory without exception!
The participant can only be registered if he/she has completely filled out the registration form online, sent it to the organizer and has read, understood and accepted the conditions of participation by signing it. The registration is only valid once the entry fee has been credited to the organizer's account free of charge and the registration has been received!
A chip deposit of € 10 must be paid at the start number issue! When returning the chip after crossing the finish line, € 5,-- will be returned!
Free parking vouchers:
Winners of vouchers "Free starting place" can only use it for new registrations or pass it on to third parties! For technical reasons, the voucher cannot be used for registrations that have already been registered and paid for! Unfortunately, it is also not possible to carry it over to the next year!
Liability:
The organizer is not liable for any incidents or accidents before, during or after the event. The participant is responsible for taking out liability insurance with an insurance company licensed in Austria.
The "ARBÖ Kärnten Radmarathon Bad Kleinkirchheim" is an event for everyone and is aimed at ambitious recreational cyclists! The instructions of the Executive, the road supervisors and the organizer's bodies must be followed at all times! Undisciplined participants will be removed from the results list and disqualified! In the event of violations of the STVO, the organizer undertakes to forward the personal data of the participants concerned to the authorities!
Under no circumstances may food be accepted from vehicles traveling with the participant. This will lead to disqualification. There is sufficient food available at several buffets. Food will only be handed out at the buffets for participants. Under no circumstances to so-called private supporters! No waste may be thrown away! (Disqualification!)
The organizer is entitled to shorten and change the course in case of bad weather or other unforeseeable events. (see alternative route!)
In the event of danger, the authorities may also cancel or abandon the event. In the event of abandonment or postponement due to force majeure, the athlete is not entitled to a refund of the entry fee!
Declaration of consent:
By registering, I accept the announcement and the organizer's exclusion of liability for damages of any kind. I will not assert any claims against the organizer or the sponsors of the event and their representatives for damages and injuries of any kind that I may incur as a result of my participation. I declare that I have trained sufficiently for participation in this competition and that I am physically fit. The medical staff is authorized to remove me from the competition if there are any threatening signs of damage to my health. I agree that the data provided in my registration may be used. I confirm that the information I have provided is correct. After my registration I am not entitled to a refund of the participation fees. Note according to data protection law: Your data will be stored automatically!
I agree that the data stated in my registration, the photos, film recordings and interviews made by me in connection with my participation in radio, television, advertising, books, photomechanical reproductions - films, video cassettes, etc. - may be used by the organizer without any claims for remuneration on my part. - may be used by the organizer without compensation claims on my part. I agree that my data may be used for advertising purposes. (according to valid DSGV)
Medical examination:
A medical examination is strongly recommended for everyone! All participants are once again requested to adhere to the STVO, this must be confirmed in writing by each starter when registering!
